“It is raining here in Jos,” she said.
“So also in Lagos,” I said.
Here are my wishes for you:
I hope the rain doesn’t wash away
The glittering petals of purple roses on you.
I hope the rain drenches your body
With springs of love that I may fetch and drink.
Like a fountain,
My soul is a spot for fulfilment and enough.
With the purple roses,
That you may crown my art with serendipity.
Like a vineyard,
My heart is a garden of love for you till eternity.
